The Bay Ridge Trails App is a hiking trail application that leverages GPS technology to map out the scenic trails of Bay Ridge. Users can utilize the app to effortlessly locate and navigate these captivating trails within the Bay Ridge area. Offering a minimalist delineation of the trails through a series of GPS polylines and markers highlighting QR code locations, this app is tailored to assist users in smoothly navigating the trails and discovering the positions of QR codes. A photo gallery is also provided to offer users a sneak peek at the distinctive features and trails awaiting exploration in Bay Ridge.

The Bay Ridge Trails App employs the user's location to provide real-time tracking for seamless guidance. Demonstrated by a blue dot enveloped within a light blue circle denoting accuracy, users can tread along with confidence. An array of predefined coordinate points combine to form a polyline framework outlining the trails.

Users have the convenience of browsing through a curated list of pre-loaded trails, with the option to select their desired gallery using a picker view. The app gracefully draws out a white path while showcasing the user's location as a pulsing blue dot.

A special acknowledgment goes out to the 2020 South River High School STEM Team for their commendable efforts in developing this app. The Bay Ridge Trails App was conceived in 2021 as part of a Community Challenge Project under the auspices of the Bay Ridge Civic Association, spearheaded by STEM Juniors from South River High School with Rodz Amor taking charge of development on XCode.
